How Our Program Works
With online learning, your child can learn at home while enjoying the benefits and support of an established school program. Students complete a mix of online lessons, offline activities and live/synchronous instructional sessions with certified Minnesota teachers.
What to Expect
Time Commitment
The typical time commitment for a Learning Coach varies per week, depending upon grade level.
K-5: Daily 4-6 hours per day
6-8: Daily 2-4 hours per day
9-12: Daily 1-2 hours per day
If you are a parent or guardian who is currently listed as your student's Learning Coach, but do not feel that you have the necessary time to support your student, please contact your student's teacher (once assigned) or contact the school counselor. As the parent/guardian, you are able to assign another adult of your choosing as the Learning Coach.
Social Opportunities
At MNVA, the learning happens virtually. But that doesn't mean that our students don't find opportunities to connect and engage with one another. Whether it be in our live ClassConnects, the clubs and activities we offer, or the in-person events we host, our students engage with one another, making strong connections, as they pursue their interests.
